How do I change the domain emails are sent from?

By default, emails sent from Pylon get sent as yourcompany@service.usepylon.com. To change the domain emails are sent from to your own domain, follow the below steps.

Steps to Change the Sender Email Address

  1. Navigate to Integrations > Email.

  2. Click the workspace email you want to modify to navigate to its settings.

  3. Locate the "Customize outgoing domain" toggle and enable it.

  4. Add the necessary DNS records to your domain's DNS settings. This step gives our system permission to send emails on behalf of your domain.

Note: The exact DNS records you need to add will be provided in the Email Settings page after enabling the Custom Domain feature.

After custom domain verification: Once your custom domain is properly configured and validated, Pylon will automatically send emails from your custom domain address. The service.usepylon.com address serves as a required fallback in case DNS validation fails and cannot be completely blocked. When replying to customer emails, Pylon will automatically reply from the email address that received the original email—this is the default behavior and requires no additional configuration.
